Dubey & Schaldenbrand
Among watch connoisseurs, the Dubey & Schaldenbrand brand enjoys an excellent reputation and has a considerable following. The Swiss watchmakers Georges Dubey and René Schaldenbrand founded their partnership in 1946. The key to their succes was the invention of a brilliantly simple rattrapant movement called the index mobile that was later patented and caused something of a sensation. Today the Dubey & Schaldenbrand philosophy not only is cemented in the genius of its founding fathers but rests also in the anachronistic, affectionate care in production found in the principles of the classic art of making beautiful watches.
The current collection combines the technology of modern mechanical movements with timeless and classic watch models. The flowing lines of the curved case look good on anyone's wrist despite the watches respectable dimensions, and the sheer profusion of decorative work covering the dial with guilloché patterns. Only when the movement parts are hand finished and assembled and the movement subsequently subjected to long and meticulorus testing of their running qualities before the movement is finally enclosed in its case. We would like to discuss the possibilities that Dubey & Schaldenbrand has to offer.
