Mühle Glashütte was established in 1869 in a region of Germany that has a good reputation as the centre of German high quality watchmaking.

Manufacture of precision measuring instruments for the watch industry, watchmakers schools, photo and cinema industry. The production range is expanded to include instruments for the pressure and temperature measuring industry as well as clocks and counters for technical and scientific purpose.

Mühle soon won awards for the precision and quality. Thanks to their good reputation, they were able to extend the manufacture of measuring instruments to a new field of marine chronometers, marine systems, nautical instruments and wrist watches. Also the company suplied clocks, tachometers, rev counters, speedometers and flow-rate meters for motorbikes, truks and many more car companies like the famous Maybach.

In the past and present Mühle has always manufactured only mechanical watches.
