Michel Parmigiani, a trained watch restorer of Italian descent, was for a long time only known to museums, where he achieved promince for his talented reparation work on watches that had been judged irreparable by other experts in the field. He launched his own collection in 1996 with the unmistakeable signature of the master watchmaker. Parmigiani has his own movements that are produced in the most modern way possible and are simultaneously an unobtrusive and classically beautiful mechanism.
